SIU's Special Approach

Educational Development towards Managerial Ability...
and towards Leadership

MBA Students during a group work outside

In our effervescent world, decision making, the essential function of management, becomes more and more risky and complex influenced by many factors from different business areas. On one hand, strategic long range thinking on vital and fundamental trends and implications, and on the other hand the constant need for rapid adaptation to changes in the business environment have become a permanent challenge to management.

SIU´s MBA program is designed to prepare participants for this challenge.

The entire program is a well-planned, thoroughly structured process, leading from basic to complex aspects, from mono-discipline to multi-discipline problems, from "hard" subjects (e.g. accounting, business statistics, etc.) to "soft" subjects (e.g. strategic management, lateral thinking and creativity, quality consciousness,

innovation, leadership, managing change, multi-discipline cooperative team work, etc.). Some of these "soft" subjects cannot be taught, however they can be learned.

This process aims to produce in the participants an educational development, changing their attitudes and developing managerial abilities and leadership.
It aims to produce a metamorphosis from a single subject expert to a responsible far and wide sighted leader and decision maker, who is able to show his followers the right way to go, and who is able to cooperate effectively and successfully with colleagues from any functional discipline.

Followers are trained to give the right answers. Leaders are trained to ask the right questions! Lead or follow or get out of the way!
